5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent reference book for moody teens, 3 May 2010
This review is from: Lana’s Life Tips: No-nonsense Guide for Teens Pt. 1 (Paperback)
I bought this for my daughter although I wasn’t sure about it as I hadn’t heard of this author. But…… we both found it such a fab read, the book talks mostly about emotions and teenagers certainly have quite a few of those. Just to give a brief example, it talks about worrying and give examples of how to deal with those. It explains what happiness looks like(often we forget).
It is an easy read and just helps teens and mums (me) to be feel a bit more grounded and stop fussing over what really is trivial stuff. But it does also have a serious side and there is a chapter on drugs and addictions. In essence it is a self-help guide for teenagers who feel a bit stressed out, it provides help with building confidence and self esteem and one excellent chapter on how to get the best out of your parents. It has worked for us and we get along much better now. There is a little humour chucked in which helps with chilling out about life.
Just something else I thought of, the book contains real situations which help the reader identify with the author a little, I think this is a really nice touch.
An excellent buy for teens or mums of teenagers. If you got a teen then get this book.
