Happy New Year 2017

2016 was a year of big changes and sadly many deaths!   Who would have thought Trump would become President Elect or the UK people decide to leave the European Union.    Sadly we saw many needless deaths from terrorism ‘Bastille Day’, Orlando Shooting, Bombing in Brussels to name but a few.   We lost many loved celebrities and legends Bowie, George Michael, Alan Rickman, Carrie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds, Leonard Cohen and Prince to name but a few.

I personally lost two close family members.  It’s been one big tough old year.

Change can be scary, unsettling and worrying.    It’s frightening because we don’t know what is going to happen and humans tend to enjoy stability and routine in their life.  But change will always happen and guess what?  It’s NOT always bad.   It’s no good worrying about things we can’t change, that’s just a waste of energy.   Sometimes we just need to go with the flow and see what happens.

The world is made up of people.  You and me and if we can all offer a smile, an act of kindness, forgiveness it will make a difference.   A small act of kindness could be just letting someone out of a side road, or opening a door for a person with a pushchair.  Little things make a BIG difference.  Before we know it, we are changing the world and making it a much better and kinder world for us all to enjoy.

So in 2017 pass on kindness, smiles, a to-do attitude and let’s all work together as a team to have a wonderful 2017.   Let’s start with optimism and joy in our hearts for a better world.  So hopefully my blog at the end of 2017 will be ‘Wow wasn’t that a great year’.

Happy New Year.

Lots of love
